Species Native to the Continental US

Species that are indigenous to the Continental US do not require USDA permits for interstate movement within said Continental US, however, most well-known isopod species are actually naturalized. This includes the ubiquitous Porcellio and Armadillidium species.

Naturalized Species and Exotic Species in the Continental US

All non-indigenous species of isopod require a USDA permit for interstate movement. There are fourteen species that are permitted without a containment facility. The list is below.
